You can request the permanent deletion of your Merquo account and the personal data associated with it at any time.

How to request account deletion

  2. 2Enter the email address associated with your Merquo account.
  3. 3Choose whether to delete your full account or specific data only.
  4. 4Our team may contact you to verify that you are the account owner.
  5. 5Once verified, we will process the deletion of your account and associated personal data.

For security purposes, we may need to verify your identity or account ownership before completing this request.

What to expect

What happens when your account is deleted

When a deletion request is completed, Merquo permanently deletes or anonymizes personal data associated with the account, subject to any information we're required to retain for legitimate business or legal purposes.

Data we delete

  • Name and profile information
  • Email address and phone number
  • Login and authentication information
  • User preferences and account settings
  • Saved addresses and contact information
  • Marketplace account information
  • Files or content associated specifically with your user account
  • Device and application information associated with your account

Data we may retain

  • Transaction and order records
  • Invoices and payment-related records
  • Tax and accounting records
  • Records required for fraud prevention or security
  • Records relating to disputes, chargebacks, or legal obligations
  • System logs or backup records maintained for security and disaster recovery

Where possible, retained information is limited to what’s necessary for the purposes above and is no longer used to provide an active Merquo account.

Retention period

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to satisfy the purposes described above and any applicable legal, accounting, regulatory, security, or contractual requirements. Additional detail is available in our Privacy Policy.

Processing time

We aim to review account deletion requests promptly. Once your identity or account ownership has been verified, we will process eligible deletion requests within a reasonable period of time, and will let you know if additional time is needed for legal, security, or regulatory reasons.

Before you delete your account

  • Deleting your account is permanent. Afterward, you may lose access to your Merquo profile, saved preferences, marketplace access, and other account-specific features.
  • If your account belongs to a business with multiple users, deleting your individual user account does not delete the organization’s Merquo account, transaction history, or records belonging to other authorized users.
